MindChamps Year End Concert

What a day! What a splendid performance!

MindChamps @ Fusionopolis held their 2013 year end concert today and it was also Jonathan's 1st public performance.

We actually didn't know what the PG class would be performing but I had seen Jon doing some dance moves at home.

The staff really put in a lot of effort for this year end concert. Look at all the elaborate setups and props. I am very sure that there were tremendous hard work and effort in putting such a major event together, especially working with such young partners (the Champs).

I really like how MindChamps would get the Champs involved in everything. Participation certainly would leave a deep impression in the young Champs and they would grow up having fond memories on their preschool years.

Since the theme was  Under the Sea, Jonathan's class PG Lavender did little turtles, part of their learning about sea creatures especially they were going to perform as baby sea turtles.

We were ushered into the theatre hall on the dot and the year end concert kicked off with the K2 graduation ceremony. Apparently, these kids were the pioneer batch at the Fusionopolis branch so there was a lot of emotions as these little kids came up to stage to give their heartfelt thanks to the teachers that taught them. I did feel emo hearing them. It was also wonderful to see them presenting stalk of rose to their parents during their performance. I think when it is Jonathan's time, I would need to get ready some tissues.

The concert went on smoothly, drawing laughters now and then. Jon's class had 3 little items, first being baby sea turtles swimming around. So the Champs crawled from side to side and Jon was really slow in it. Then they appeared again, dancing to the tune of "little rosey ring" which were the dance moves that he did at home. Lastly they appeared together in the grand finale.

The grand finale got everyone excited. All the parents and grandparents were waving and clapping for the Champs. It was easy to spot Jon as he was in the front row. I guess the large audience dazzled them as the PG Champs were frozen on the spot. But it was awesome!

There was a little tea reception for us and there was photo gallery with photos taken during their full dress rehearsal. Before we left for the day, we caught up with his teachers and even got him to pose with his work.

It was a splendid performance. I must say, Congratulation to the Principal, teachers and staff of MindChamps @ Fusionopolis. The concert was a success and the Champs really did well! Bravo!

Happy Ending
