We booked a Groupon deal with Nongsa Turi Beach Resort. The original plan was to travel up to Genting Highland to escape from the heat but alas, Genting Resort World is going through a series of upgrading renovation which made it inconvenient for us to go. We chanced upon this Groupon deal and thought to give it a try. Matthew's fever episode almost made us to forgo this trip. He had a bad throat infection which caused him to have a 40c fever again for many days. The 2nd trip to the PD had Matthew going through urine culture and blood test again. PD then decided to start on antibiotics treatment and advised us bringing Matthew for the short getaway if his fever never subsided. So we waited till Friday morning and then decided to bring him along as the antibiotics treatment was kicking in its effect. Fever was subsided by then. At SGD 99 per pax, the bundle included ferry ticket (2-ways), breakfast, 2D1N stay at the resort's Premier Room and land transfer. We paid an extra

Darren joked that we celebrate a birthday every quarter of the year. In this first quarter of 2014, we kicked off with his own birthday celebration. Now that the boys are older, they like to sing the birthday song and really take it as if it is their own birthday. Therefore, we would buy cake on every opportunity for any occasion. a 36th birthday celebrating @ Ils place We also took the opportunity to bring the boys to the Flyer. The boys had a lot of fun during the 30 min ride. Running around in the cabin and chasing each other. This March, we will also bring the boys for a short getaway to Nongsa Beach Resort @ Batam. We are going for only a 2D1N since Darren is flying off to Shanghai for work the next day. Hope Nongsa will be a great getaway for us.

24 February 2014 -  Jonathan turned 2.5 year old or 30 month old. When he turned 18 months or 1.5 year old, he was enrolled into the playgroup and that started his preschool education. We didn't consider or emphasis too much on his academic progress, rather giving more attention to his well-being. Now that he's promoted to Nursery 1 (N1), a sudden shift of attention to the academic progress highlighted all the inadequacies he had. One major problem was his speech which we sought professional help earlier this year. However, was it a true cause of speech deficiency or was it a case of stressful parents, I couldn't really distinguish the difference anymore now. To track the Jonathan's development progress, I have started to record down my observation. Just like running an experiment in a lab, observation made at each stage would be a great way to track what's good, what's bad, what's right, what's can be improved. A final conclusion could then be draw
