4th in a year

In the early morning of 13 Feb 2015, Matt went into febrile fit. He was running a fever at that time, we had been vigilant in staying up at night to watch over his temperature, yet it still happened. I was devastated. He was 12 hours away from the initial critical 48 hours and his brain just couldn't hold it up. I cried, outwardly and inwardly. I just kept asking him why why why… why did it still happen. Get Well Card from CWK teachers Much appreciated came with this balloon too Our PD felt the recurrence was too much for Matt and referred us to a paediatric neurologist. I was devastated again. 4th within a year since he had the first episode of fit. There was a fit-free period of almost 7 months. He had fever episode and we managed well to keep the fit from occurring. Why did it have to happen again. On the way to the neurologist The appointment with the paediatric neurologist was a day before CNY eve. I didn't know what to ex

I haven't been so excited about Chinese New Year for quite a long while. Given that I had a tough 2014, it is no wonder that I look forward to 2015 and Chinese New Year. I also finally have my wish and got my own pussy willow ( 银柳 ). Welcoming the Spring I thought I almost couldn't make my wish come true as the search for the right vase took a long time. Then my mum recalled that she got hers from Thow Kwang… one of the remaining 2 Jurong Kilns left and I'm so glad they are now listed under the Singapore Heritage Board. So last Sunday while the kids napped, Darren drove me down to the Pottery Gallery. It was quite a rustic place with thousands of clay pottery in all sorts of form. A Child's Effort

This box of puzzles was meant as Christmas gift for Matt. It was about 2 weeks ago that we took it out and I sorted out the puzzles for him to work on. There were 4 puzzles with 4, 6, 8 & 12 pieces. Today, he took out the box and went on to work out the 4 puzzles on his own. I'm immensely proud of him, not because he was good enough to do the puzzles but because it took effort and focus to stay on task. More so that he didn't give up when he could. That is quite a feat for a 25 month toddler. His Achievement His brother, Jon also didn't lag behind. Jon has been attending Berries for 5 lessons now. The first 2 lessons had him crying at the door and then suddenly he enjoyed his Berries lesson. At 3rd lesson, he came back with this sticker on his chest. 上课积积参与活动!For Jonathan, it must have taken him tremendous courage to join in the class activities as he is not those bubbly outgoing kid. By 5th lesson, he was the one who would remind us that S
