Happy Willow

Image
Jonathan has never been to an indoor playground because I'm paranoid about him catching the dreadful HFMD. But it's really time to let go and not keep him in a bubble because it is simply not realistic. Since I'm on maternity leave and Jon is going to start preschool soon, there's no better time than now. So the flood gate is opened with our first ever visit to an indoor playground - Happy Willow, the nearest to our place. I took Jon there myself by public transport. It was manageable. It was a good trip and Jon conked out the moment we reached. Hope we can have a go at Hokey Pokey before they are closed for their relocation.

Preschool Orientation

Image
18 February 2013 Attended our ever first preschool orientation at MindChamps. Bought 3 sets of uniforms which consist of 2 attires per set. Given a handbook to read and brief on the school rules and regulation. enjoying himself before orientation starts Went round the classroom to view and met some of his classmates-to-be. Jonathan was excited all the way, I guess it was the novelty. The principal mentioned that there are 2 types of children that attended childcare. One group would be very happy the first few days and then cry when they realize it is going to be a new routine for them. The other group is cry and cry and then settle down after a while. I hope Jonathan would enjoy his school minus the crying (although I can't say that I won't be teary). For the start, at least I get to accompany him for the first 3 days. Shall update again when school starts. school bag

2 Month Old Matthew

Image
16 February 2013 Matthew turned 2 month old. michelin matthew Matthew is more interactive now. He is starting to coo and ahh... and gets all smiley when you play with him. He does resemble Jonathan more now. enjoying his musical mobile working out with his play gym tummy time That day it was also 初七 (人日)and we bought yu sheng 鱼生 to celebrate. yummy yu sheng from sakuraya tossing for all the goodness Matthew is still on total breast milk with occasional formula milk feeds. I am glad I can still total breastfeed Matthew and I hope I can continue even when I return to work. That reminds me I left only 1 month more to go before leaving Matthew at home with helper. Not the best choice but the next better option I have.

sleepy eyes  We noticed that Matthew has double eyelids.  It shows up when his eyes get sleepy. Big deal? Oh yah! Cos none of us at home has double eyelids.  Or maybe it's from me cos' I notice my eyelids would momentarily go into  double when washing my face. Darren calls its the recessive genes .
