OK or Not Ok

Image
I think the bubble tea craze is back again. There's a new kid on the block in Clementi neighbourhood. OK Tea.. prides itself from using the the purest and premium tea leaves from Taiwan. Sister-in-law treated us OK Tea's milk tea with bubble. Priced at $2.40, the bubbles didn't come as much as Koi cafe. There's a hint of banana essence in this Taiwan bubble tea. My hubby preferred OK Tea's pearls rather than Koi. As for me, Koi tea is still the one for me. Except for today, after enduring for more than 30 minutes, my Koi's Oolong milk tea didn't turned up to be as good as my initial try. Depressing...

One Year Later

Image
One year later, we visited the place - Botanic Garden, where we took our wedding album photos. The morning sun was bright and warm.... The same tree spot where we had our arms spreaded out, praising the Lord... Look at the glorious blue sky! The memorable run and skip portion. Back then, there was no orchid in sight, just plain wooden planks. We had the most re-take here. Other than a reminiscent walk, we had our morning picnic at the swan lake nearby. Breathing in the fresh air and enjoying the peace around us. Glorious morning!

Rainbow Connection

Image
It is not very often you get to see a rainbow in the sky. I think I saw it 5 times so far. But ever since I got to know about Pastor Joseph Prince and New Creation Church, rainbow has a different meaning to me. Now whenever I see a rainbow, I remember it is God's covenant with us. (Genesis 9:16) His covenant of grace with us which means that whatever trouble I am having, whatever problem I am facing, whatever difficulty I am experiencing, God is with me. (2 Corinthians 12 :9) Life is having another crisis. I had a really big and troublesome one in 2006 but that really put me in the right perspectives. I remembered the heartbreaking nights, with tears and feeling very vexed. I remembered the anxiety was so great, the pain that was overwhelming me. And then God spoke. It was a personal encounter with God that really convicted my belief that God is real and He has heard me. He said "All the tears that you have shed. I am storing it up and will turn them into shower of blessings f

Random Outing

We caught MEGAMIND the movie yesterday at Cathay. On a personal note, I don't fancy animated film and I certainly don't like this blue big head alien. I don't think all these characters are cute. But I watched it because my husband liked it! (Check the footnote on Power of Love) Picture Source: http://www.megamind.com/media/downloads/wallpapers/MM_wp3_800.jpg Hmm... I had to say the plot was reasonably well, not juvenile as I thought earlier on. But I still don't like this blue big head alien. Perhaps the only character I like would be Roxanne Ritchi. I liked her hairstyle, haha.. weird, right! After movie, we went to Aston Specialities. There was a long queue, mainly tertiary students but we got a table for 2, pretty fast. Check out my Prime Ribeye, medium well, with coleslaw and baked potato as side. And his teriyaki chicken, with pasta salad and baked potato as side. Though there's nothing special about our dinner, still it was much better than the CharGrill (sim

Scaredy Robo

Image
The story goes like this.... Robo bit Darren. Dunno why Robo likes to bite Darren. He has bitten Darren at least twice! So I took Robo and played rough with him. Robo was still okay, climbing up his cage and bitting his cage. So I pretended there's an earthquake and flapping the door. Suddenly, Robo just scurried off and hid under his wheel for a very long time, not moving at all. We, the humans, were a bit shock! hmm.. was I too scary on Robo? Anyway, Robo was scared stiff. You could tell from this photo. I could even put his toy on his head and he didn't even flinched. Anyway, we left him on his own and went out for dinner. When we came back, Robo looked like he had forgotten about what happened just now. Still climbing up his cage and bitting on the metal railing, demanding his food! End of story.

a Japanese Spritz called SaSha

Image
A few weeks ago when we were at Chinatown, we came across this lovely dog. Actually we saw this Japanese Spritz a few times when we walked past OG @ People's Park. This doggy would sit near the exit and enjoyed the cool air blowing out from the departmental store. Then on that day, doggy actually came up to us. Dog owner was an old man. He explained that his dog Sa Sha came up to us because we had dog's smell on us. Sa Sha really got a keen nose. We actually went down to SPCA that day, intending to adopt a Japanese Spritz that got abandoned. But we were too late. Cute, HDB approved doggy also got adopted fast. So I whipped out my iPhone and tried to snap photo of Sa Sha. Well, she was so camera shy! : ) Sa Sha was such a well groomed dog. The fur was thick and fluffy and soft. She was very clean and had no foul smell. In fact, a group of people soon gathered around her, marveling at such a lovely dog.
