Air's Inaugural Post - Far Away

Image
I finally got the time to sit down and do the first post from MacBook Air. But I didn't do this in the comfort of my home. Instead, I am miles away from home and in a cold country. Local time is around 10pm and SG time is 3 in the morning. my luggage Glad that my air came in time before my overseas trip. Transferring from my Pro to Air was cool... wireless transfer via "Mac talk" although it was more of a 电话粥 (slang in cantonese) , taking more than 12hours to complete the task. Afterwhich I had to spend to a close of $120 to accessorise it before it was ready to fly with me. Whatever it is, I love my MacBook Air and you guess it right.... my next Apple product will be the iPhone 5S... But this has to wait till I get home and have the time again to get it done. Ciao and Good Night!

my 3rd mac ... courtesy of mr. darren poh My 3rd MacBook ... and it has gone slimmer. MacBook Air was at my doorstep when I came back from work today. Surprise? Actually Darren gotten my Apple ID but forgot that it was linked to my gmail account and so... I actually saw/ read the confirmation email from Apple Store Online in my gmail. So much for his planned surprise. But really much appreciate his gesture! nearly missed out this important message Well, this little shipment note was almost forgotten and nearly went into the bin without a second look. This part was really a surprise! Simple message but I understood clearly what you want to say! Thank you for acknowledging my efforts, my dear! PS : will do my last backup on my MacBook Pro tonight and will update when Air is up!

what's wrong with the photos?

Image
Photo 1 Photo 2 Photo 3 Photo 4 What is so wrong about the photos? I came to realize the recent photos of Jon always shown him with his tutu (pacifier) stuck on his mouth. I haven't seen any 2 year old with paci as frequent as him... there's a regression here. Maybe I should pick a long weekend and go cold turkey on him.

Twin Terrors

This is the mess they make (without fail) everyday. Pulling all the magazines and books and DVDs from the TV console and leaving everything everywhere in the living room. Twin Terrors in making!

It's never too late

As posted before, we had the intention to celebrate Jonathan's birthday in school with his classmates and teachers. However, he was so sick that we had to take him out of school for almost 2 weeks. I had to cancel the cake order and the balloons which the vendors were so kind to refund me. During this period, Jon's teachers had been in touch with me, asking if we will hold a makeup celebration for him. In fact, Darren had in mind already to do a makeup birthday celebration for Jon as he said, "every child deserves a happy birthday" Yesterday, we sprang a surprise for the little boy. He was so surprised to see us and him having a birthday celebration. check out his shy but definitely happy expression We got Cloud9 (yes I know... this is the xxx times they baked for us) to do a Pocoyo theme for Jon. the 2kg vanilla & cream cheese Pocoyo cake I have to say again.... Thank you Cloud9 for this lovely cake! We all loved it! getting ready

Sunday School

Image
Ever since Matt's arrival, we are ashamed to say that we haven't been attending Church regularly. Although we have a helper, it still took some efforts to get everyone ready and out of the house before 10am. Some days we were exhausted, we slacked and slept in. So it was a good decision, announced by the head of the family that this Christian family will strive to attend Church regularly as a start. We didn't go back to New Creation although we very much wanted to. We do enjoy Pastor Prince's preaching and also felt so blessed that each sermon delivered by him. But considering that Jon would cry terribly at attending RockKidz  himself and Matt would probably cry hysterically and the maid could not divide herself into 2 parts to accompany them, we went back to Agape Methodist. Now that Jon is 2, he can attend the Sunday School there. colouring after story of God's Creation very focused in his coloring kept his tools away The Sunday School

Happy Teacher's Day - in advance!

Image
It had been a looonnngg time since I needed to do something on this special occasion that salutes the teachers that put in their whole heart to nurture the next generation. Now that Jonathan attends pre-school, though it is more of a day care than a school school per se, it is only right to show our appreciation to the teachers that really work so hard for the champs. Furthermore Jonathan is not an easy child to care for. I got Cloud9 to do a croquembouche for the wonderful teachers and staff at Mindchamps. Cloud9 is the  same baker that delivered wonderful cupcakes for Matt's full month party . Megs and Lilian have not failed me again with their wonderful creation. croquembouche in teacher theme (image shared by Cloud9) Anticipating that many would send cakes or bakes to the teachers at Mindchamps, I got Cloud9 to deliver this lovely croquembouche today. I was so glad the teachers love it! (Honestly, this is so lovely that I won't bear to eat it ;p) littl
