Porn's

Do you know that Pornsak, the TCS artiste has opened a Thai restaurant in Liang Seah Street?

The family went to check it out last Saturday. Business is really good. Reservation is fully booked until December. We walked in around 6.15pm and only managed to get a table for 8 adults and 2 children 1 hour later. And it was only because little sister-in-law happened to be Pornsak's schoolmate.

After we were settled down, I looked around the restaurant. It is not very big, neither it is heavily decorated. There are only 2 wall murals on its pristine white walls.

Elephants and Thailand.

Erh... the word PORN for Thai is completely different from its English Counterpart.

Menu is a ribbon tied laminated 6 pages. Pricing is reasonable, not expensive but beware, the food is extremely spicy, well at least for me.

First up, Tom Yum Goong in hotpot. Very spicy. Caught me totally off guard, I was gagging on its spicy. Actually my dinner was kinda ruined by it. My stomach was burning after this.

Accepted appetisers included stuffed chicken wing and.....

lemongrass chicken.

We ordered their Chef's recommendation which was the stir-fried pork with basil and ...

stir-fried pork with garlic.

We also had fried toufu and pineapple rice and tried their Phai Thai too. But I didn't manage to get the pictures. Another interesting drink they have is the Thai Ice Tea which you should try if you are going there.

All in all, the food is good but too spicy for me. You won't have to burn a hole in your pocket if you are dining there. But you need to be super early, if not, wait for at least 1 hour before you get seated. I only recommend to try there if you are in small group, not more than 4 people. Otherwise, it is important to get a reservation.
