3rd Anniversary!

21st November came again! We are now married for 3 years, from a couple of 2, our brood is expanding to 4!

I won't say these 3 years were all rosy and cosy, lovey-dovey whispering sweet nothings... NO... we spent our 3 years as husband and wife, quarreling from trivial thing like "why can't you pack the diaper bag" to upbringing difference "why you allow Jonathan to play with your Mac!" In the midst of the chaos and adjusting to be parents and having a maid at home, there were still sweet lovely moments.

We knew that having a couple dinner is almost impossible so Darren comes often to lunch with me. We whispered " I love you!" on unexpected moments, bringing a smile to each other. Darren took care of Jonathan so I could rest when I needed. I stopped putting on a black face when he needed to work on weekends. I guess we just want to help easing the burden of our partners. Increasing our tolerance and patience so our other half could be happier!

We didn't had a fanciful celebration. We took a day off from work, left Jonathan at home with my mum.

1st stop was to Leng Kee Road. Our white Latio has served us well for the past 4 years but with another baby coming and a maid in tow, we really need to upgrade to a MPV. But we only managed to test drive Wish. I thought we could squeeze in another 2 more test drive - Mazda 5 and Picasso but a whole morning was gone... just like that.

We proceeded to have a simple lunch at Chilli's (Tanglin Mall).

Ultimate Flame Grilled Tenderloin

I wanted to have steak (to boost up XP2's weight) but was not in favour for a fully well done meat. So I ordered their Ultimate Flame Grilled Tenderloin (medium well) with steamed broccoli and peppery mashed potatoes as side. It was awesome! Tender steak with good control of fire. My steak didn't turned out to be hard neither there's was still pinkish juice oozing out. Perfect! I could eat in peace and their sides were really amazingly flavorsome.

Lunch Combo - House Salad with Spicy Southwestern Chicken Pasta

Darren had a lunch combo. He picked House Salad and his main was Spicy Southwestern Chicken pasta (penne) and garlic bread as side. He had already asked them to tone down the spicy level but yes, it was still spicy but tolerable. Though it was spicy, I couldn't resist sneaking a few bites from his pasta.

We didn't order any dessert which was a good thing. Because the mains were already too filling for us. The bill didn't turned up to be expensive. $52 for our lunch (taxes included).

We then went down to Isetan and got myself a new fitflop. Walked over to Takashimaya to shop for the boys' clothes. Stopped by the Coffee Bean's Bean-stro for a drink and cake.

Coffee Bean's Xmas Log Cake

Unfortunately, the cake was not really that nice. But still, it was nice spending a day leisurely by ourself.

Post note:

3 years ago on 21 Nov 2009 5.30am, I was doing my bridal makeup, getting ready for the exciting day ahead. He was nervous and didn't sleep a wink.

2 years ago on 21 Nov 2010 5.30am, we celebrated with a staycation at Fullerton. We even smuggled Robo into our hotel room.

1 year ago on 21 Nov 2011 5.30am, we fed Jonathan his milk, changed his diaper and made him sleep while we both lie on our bed exhausted.

This year 21 Nov 2012 5.30am, we slept through the night with Jonathan in between us. Hopefully next year, we are still able to sleep through the night peacefully.
