Feelings...

I haven't been blogging consistently recently, judging by my posting numbers. This is an account what has happened recently in Apple's life. Remember this blog is all about the microscopic daily happenings in an Apple's life. Korea Trip - finally sorted out all the photos. Also, separated some out on Day 3 to blog about. But it was a tedious chore, as I need to copy and paste, rename the pix and downsize the photo before a photo is ready to be uploaded. Another difficulty I have encountered is the formatting of this blogspot blog. This really gives me problem as I couldn't get the photo uploaded in the sequence I want, hence slowing down the whole process. Hopefully tonight, I can resume my Day 3 itinerary. New place - Rather occupied with the new place. Have to pack things from my old place, get ready to shift, clean up the new place. Furnitures delivered, some with defects that need the vendors to come to replace or repair. Renovation rectifications still not complete...

Winter Sonata Day 1 & 2

Image
There were many photos to be sorted out. I also had some difficulty in mastering the software to compress my pictures. Still not used to my Mac. But finally, the long awaited entry is here! The story of Winter Sonata begins on 6 Jan 2010. The day we flew off, the tour agency considered that as Day 1. It was kind of wasted as we had a night flight, departing at 10.40pm. The unfolding of Winter Sonata began from here! It was a good landing. I didn't even realised we had landed at Incheon. Only opened my eyes when passengers started to unload their overhead cabin luggages. Korea! Here we come!! Snow Snow Snow After changing out to our Winter wear, we were ready to embark on our Winter Sonata Journey! First stop - Breakfast! 1st Breakfast at Korea After breakfast, we were given a choice to go for steam bath before starting the day. We had to don their uniform and it resembled our sauna except that the Koreans really slept inside like in the K drama we watched from TV. Interesting! Our ...

A Mini Note

I'm back again on sunny little island. As you can guess, Winter Sonata was really memorable. The first day we touched down on Kimchi Land, we were blasted with a freezing temperature -13.5 °C. Not forgetting the once in a lifetime experience of trying their local delicacy - Live Octopus. Winter sport does not stop at snow skiing and hiking up Mount Sorak was equally breathtaking. Can you imagine me strutting on a horse in the ranch like a cowboy and what a romantic time at Everland - standing in queue outdoor with the snow falling on you? Oops, did I mention that my shopping craze at Faceshop too? I promise you I will dutifully blog down my 8 day Winter Sonata experience... erhm.. that is after I have sorted out the photos. Well, you just got to wait for the good stuff : D dun ya?

New Padlock Added

We finally got back the possession of our house yesterday. We swiftly added our padlock and this action brought immediate relief to us. It was a 46 days of renovation nightmare for us. This renovation really brought us tremendous stress. But of course, don't expect everything to be in their perfect setting. Many minor rectifications needed and the list of negativity certainly outgrows the positive stuff. We shifted our non-essential items in yesterday and got a cleaning lady to clean up the place for us. Was a good thing we had her because it was a sure tiring 6 hour job of cleaning up the place. The furniture is coming today. http://www.click4dubaiproperty.com/images/Living-room.jpg Though I always envisualise my living room to be like this, very white and very clean line, the reality is far from this. Reckon our house will not be ready READY so soon. Plenty of things to touch up and buy. But at least, our house is back in our hands. *I have not forgotten on the part of exposing...

For the Better, none the Worse!

This is my final posting in the Year 2009. It has been a roller coaster ride in this year. The highs are really high while the lows hit the bottom. Honestly speaking, I don't think I qualify to complain anything even though at this point of time, I don't feel exactly full of anticipation nor excitement of a brand new year. It is unfortunate that the house renovation gives us so much problem, souring the final point of 2009. So may the brand new 2010 starts on good note. Top on the list is the promise of handover of our house on the 3rd Jan. We are playing by ears till now, as you know the project manager is totally incompetent. Next up, will be our Honeymoon. Setting foot on the land where K pop and K drama started. It will be a 8 day tour by package. Following closely will be a highly anticipated wedding. Looking forward to that, knowing that the couple is extremely creative ;p After that is our first CNY. Even though some said don't need to give ang bao in the 1st year of...

my Apple is moody

Was trying to sync my ipod nano to my mac book and my nano hung. There's no reset button and we were quite perplexed because we certainly didn't expect Apple's products to hang. So Darren called the Apple people, after receiving the instructions thru phone, we manage to "set free" the nano. Then currently, my ipod nano still refused to sync with my mac book. The songs didn't export from my nano to the mac book iTunes. Any advice from Mac users?

FORCED 2

I know there are many friends and relatives that are concerned with our renovation woes. We had thought of all possible solutions and had offered to the rogue company. Flipping of words #1 In the beginning, project manager agreed that the living room is sloping down. He called the tiler down. After hearing out from his tiler, he switched his words and now declared is slope free. When he first saw the living room, he also agreed that he could not accept this kind of work. Just because his tiler said he went by the book and he flipped his words. Flipping of words #2 Agreed that the rogue company will hack up and provide materials, we have to find our own tiler and pay for the workmanship. Though no mistake of ours, we have to pay extra money to rectify their mistake, in what way is the rogue company fair to us. Project manager flipped his work again. Said his company cannot do anything for us. Everything we have to bear ourselves right down to the materials. This is getting ridiculous. T...
