Overseas Nitty Gritty (I)

When you are going to stuck in foreign land for 2 weeks, you will need to pack comfort food along. For us, after a tedious and extremely long day, we returned to our apartment to cook ….

Chicken Curry!

our chicken curry completed with potatoes

Prima Deli's chicken curry is a good choice. It is not too spicy, easy to cook and delicious to eat.

We even completed our meal with rice…..

It pays to know how to cook rice without a rice cooker. We bought rice grains and cooked the rice over stove and pot. Thankfully, I remember how my mum taught me to gauge the amount of water to put in.

And of course, water remains our 100% essential items. Whenever we made a trip to the supermart, we will stock up on water.

3 x 5L water jelly cans, assortment of flavoured drinks, milk and 12 x 0.75L sparkling waters… this is how much we need to last for 3 days. We even joked that the cashier must be thinking we are crazy, a trolley full of water.

It is supposed to be summer now but when it rains or gets foggy, the temperature can dip till 15oC. When the sun comes out, it gets as hot as 27oC. But overall, it is our ideal kind of climate. Cooling weather… even my hair is tamed. Not fizzy and rough without conditioning.

One week down, another one more week to go… miss all my Poh boys.
