Q1 - His Birthday

In our family, we celebrate birthday in every quarter. We started Q1 with the man of the house's birthday.

But the birthday has evolved. Instead of celebrating for the actual birthday boy, we got 2 really excited young ones, singing the birthday song, blowing the candles and cutting the cake. Children… everyone's birthday has become their birthday!

We took some time out on Monday to enjoy couple time. The last time we stepped into a cinema was last April, watching Noah. After a year, we finally got a chance to step into the cinema again. We watched The Kingman. It was a good pick of movie selection.

Before that, we had a quick causal lunch at Poulet.

mushroom soup

We actually wanted the French Onion soup but somehow, I got it mixed up and ordered Mushroom soup. Still, it was pretty impressive.

Salad de Paris

We loved this salad for its unique combination of taste - something sweet and something tangy.

Duck Au Vin

However, this duck au vin was quite disappointing with the tough meat.

Pissaladiere de Poulet

This lit pizza was much better. I actually find Poulet alluring and would like to return to try their other dishes. Or maybe it's just me and the French flair I find it alluring!

getting ready for movie

After lunch and movie, we resumed the role of parents. Rushing to pick up Jon on the rainy evening and letting the 2 boys enjoyed their "birthday" moments.
