Cheers to a brand new Year 2014

Started the day bright and healthy with Slappy Cakes at the Grandstand. Yes, we have returned the next day. Haha... spending the last day of 2013 and first day of 2014 at the Grandstand, does that mean this will be our new favourite hunt?

starting with pancake

Slappy cakes is really popular and I didn't know that a reservation is quite important. Luckily, they managed to get us a table.

We went on to select our own batter, buttermilk and whole grain. Then we picked banana, honey ham, roasted mushroom, cheddar cheese and greek yoghurt as topping.

Once the batters and our toppings were served, we started making our own pancakes.

We could do all kinds of sizes of pancakes and different shapes with different toppings as what we like. I would have thought that Jon would be excited in making his own pancakes but he kept saying hot hot hot and then hid behind his daddy. Then as you know with kids, if they have nothing to do or eat, they start to fuss. So I took both prams and took the boys out to have a walk to give the father and helper a chance to eat.

I even managed to take a selfie with them. After the pancakes, we met up with Carol and her girl, Enya. Off to Kiddyfun we go!

I like Kiddyfun because of its moving carousel and fully padded indoor plus I notice that it is not crowded as there is another indoor playground, Fidget in the same place.

True enough, we were early enough to have almost the whole place to ourselves and the kids really enjoyed the moving rides. The whole indoor playground also has plenty of resting places for the children and parents. Spacious running area for the children. However, for those looking for toys then this is not the place. There ain't any toys except for soft building blocks.

It was a great 1st Jan morning and we had Omakaze burgers which I didn't take any photo. Too hungry to remember. Perhaps the next round.

Comments

Slappy cakes look so fun and delicious! Plus the kiddyfun seems interesting for the little ones. I love fidget but will check out this one too!
