Nongsa Turi Beach Resort (Part 2)

Fresh on a Saturday morning, the family strolled to the same cafe for our complimentary buffet breakfast.

Breakfast was a spread with different types of breads. There was a al fresco station for roti prata and mee soto.

I was surprised that they offered low fat milk, full cream milk and soya milk to go with the cereals. For the main course, there were the usual sausages, hash browns, pancakes and even beef bacons. Lapped it up with fresh juices (mango, orange and pineapples) or if you prefer cut fruits, you would be spoilt for choices. For breakfast, besides the tea and coffee, there was a choice of hot green tea too.

After breakfast, we decided to go for a walk to the jetty that stretched out to the open sea.

low tide

Since it was low tide, we could really see the fishes beneath the clear sea water. There was a lot of coral rocks as well.

that's the resort behind us

We decided to head back after a short break so that the boys would have enough time for water play.

Besides the emerald pool, there was actually another lagoon pool with pool bar. But that's at the other side of the resort, nearer to the cafe. We thought we would just stay put at emerald pool since it was just at our doorstep.

After the swim, we decided to pack up and check out early. So that we could venture out to Kepri Mall for lunch and then back for the shuttle bus to the ferry terminal.

Kepri Mall turned out to be a disappointment. It would still be better to head for Nagoya Hill Shopping Centre which was so much bigger although it was also far from our resort. While waiting for our transport back to resort, the family decided to check out their Carrefour supermarket.

car-trolley

Matthew of course grabbed the opportunity to sit the car-trolley while the older brother was soundly asleep in the pram.

And with that, it ended our quick and short 2D1N getaway to Batam. Glad we eventually chose to come here.
