The Capella Experience

Capella Singapore is hidden in the lush greenery of Sentosa. Its luxurious and impeccable service are truly 6 stars rated. 11 staff and their families from the husband's company were invited for this staycation and we were so fortunate to be part of them. There was no big lobby for check in, instead it was a living room styled concierge counter that did everything for you. You are welcome to rest at the lounge while the room and luggages get sorted out. Then concierge staff dressed in traditional chinese cheongsam or malay baju kebaya would then lead you to your room. Once you stepped in, she would explain the various function controllers and highlight the little intricate details of the room. Then she would leave you and your guests to enjoy the room while your luggages get ported to your room and set up by the bell boy. Lesson #1

It's official. Matt started his first piano lesson yesterday. I would have thought Jon would be more interested but it turned out otherwise. The younger boy had actually bugged us for piano lessons for quite a while but got dismissed by us. It was recently, he brought the topic up again that we began to consider seriously. So yesterday he began his first lesson and the teacher's feedback he was coping well. Let's see how this musical journey turns out.

How much does my impatience cost?

Sometime this year, just before Jon turned 5, I brought the boys to the Polyclinic to get a development assessment. I wouldn't have thought of doing a development assessment if not for the prompter from the mummies group. Oh well, I made an appointment and we reached there ahead of our appointment time. However, we did not expect that our appointment time could be hijacked by vaccination babies who needed a quick check up. Then problem started. Jonathan did not score a perfect eyesight check and the nurse gave me an option to get a specialist referral or wait 6 months. I didn't think straight at the point. So I just agreed to wait. That's a bad decision. Because after that, I couldn't shake off the feeling I should have gotten a referral to get his eyesight thoroughly checked.
