It's never too late
As posted before, we had the intention to celebrate Jonathan's birthday in school with his classmates and teachers. However, he was so sick that we had to take him out of school for almost 2 weeks. I had to cancel the cake order and the balloons which the vendors were so kind to refund me.
During this period, Jon's teachers had been in touch with me, asking if we will hold a makeup celebration for him. In fact, Darren had in mind already to do a makeup birthday celebration for Jon as he said, "every child deserves a happy birthday"
Yesterday, we sprang a surprise for the little boy. He was so surprised to see us and him having a birthday celebration.

We got Cloud9 (yes I know... this is the xxx times they baked for us) to do a Pocoyo theme for Jon.

I have to say again.... Thank you Cloud9 for this lovely cake! We all loved it!

all of us |
The teachers helped us to take a few family photos before getting the children to crowd around the table. Then the teachers led them to sing the birthday song which Jon watched this video clip for at least 10 times. It just showed how much he enjoyed the whole process and it was indeed a good decision to do a makeup birthday celebration for him.

The teachers actually hung birthday banner for the birthday boy. Much to my surprise!
using some help from daddy to blow the candles |
The kids really enjoyed the birthday celebration as much as Jon. All were eager to crowd around the table and watch the candles flickered while singing the birthday song.
cutting his cake |
I guess this must be his favourite part - cake cutting. I helped him to slice the cake while the teacher led Jon to serve cake to his friends.

getting another hug from friend |
After having the cake, the teachers got the little kids to receive the goodies bags from Jon. The little boy is quite good in handling out his goodies bag, one by one, he gave it to his friends and in return, the little kids hugged Jon.
Birthday celebration is sure fun, especially when you are surrounded by family and friends.
