Phuket - Pool & Beach (Day 2)

Image
20 November  2014 The boys woke up early, like before 7am. Gosh! There's no difference to them in timing even when they were on a holiday. Since they woke up so early, we also went for early buffet breakfast at Seasonal Taste (in-house). Did I mention for the first night dinner, we took the hotel's shuttle bus service to Phuket Town. We were dropped off at Robinsons in Phuket Town. It was raining and we didn't venture out of Robinsons. Only to eat at their food court which was lousy and bought some breads for the boys. We took the 5pm shuttle and left at 7.30pm. The journey took about 45 mins and cost 100THB per pax per way. Children was at 50% discount. Back to breakfast, it was those typical international buffet breakfast you would find at a 5* hotel. Jon enjoyed his food this round, much to my relief but Matt couldn't eat. We didn't bring along the food scissors to cut the noodles. Even with a single strand of noodle coiled, he stopped eating a few mouth...

Phuket - Westin Siray Bay Resort & Spa

Image
19 November 2014 Based on our June family trip experience, to manage the boys better on the flight, we booked an afternoon flight to and fro for our year end vacation to Phuket. We purposely brought the boys earlier to the airport, to settle their lunch and let them exhaust their energy. It turned out to be a great plan! Both fell asleep just about to take off, giving us a very peaceful flight to Phuket. it's also hard to take a nice wefie And because we were traveling by ourselves, we took our time to disembark, did the routine care for the boys before we collected our luggages. When we stepped out of the airport, our hotel agent was waiting for us with our hotel transfer. The car ride to Westin Siray Bay Resort & Spa was long, around an hour but comfortable. Westin spelt of luxury. Our hotel transfer with Toyota Camry cost us THB 1,300 each way (estimated SGD 52). There was refreshment towels and chilled bottled drinks for us too. On the way to Westin, it sta...

14 November 2014 My company's D&D was held biannually, alternating family day each year. Ever since I joined, I had been attending the much anticipated event except the year 2012 because with a big belly, it was just too cumbersome and risky to squeeze with everyone. This year, the event was bigger and with the theme "Around the World", my table of sporting colleagues came donned in their wildest fashion. Here's why… Table 110 We went with the theme and based our dressings on the fable "Around the world in 80 days" with a slight twist here and there. And our table was not completed without our Xinjiang lady….  xinjiang lady & beautiful saree queen As for myself, I was lucky that a friend loaned me her hanbok. Anyoung haseyo! This pretty pink flock had earned me a consolation prize in Best Dressed category.  It was a night of good company and great fun!
