A Wedding Tradition

Last Thursday I was invited to a Bridal Lunch hosted by my church friends and one of them gave me these European Wedding Traditional Gifts.

Tea signifies the respect to the institution of marriage.

The traditional dragees are candy coated almonds. Mine was a chocolate coated dragees. Almond with its sweet and bitter taste represents the marriage in its ups and downs. While having a sweet coating is well wishes for a blissful and sweet marriage.
