Found these photos. It was taken during a trip to JB (to get our wedding card done). We had lunch at one of the restaurants. That's me tackling this huge portion of cut meat. The stone was so sizzling hot that it could cook your meat. Eating out at JB is really quite value for money. Hope to return soon for more...

178

Rings a bell? Famous 178 Shark Meat Lor Mee @ Tiong Bahru Market Got an opportunity to try not too long ago. I'm not a fan of Lor Mee and after this bowl, I'm still not a fan. Don't quite understand what's the hype behind this bowl of 178 Lor Mee. The fried fish nuggets are too overwhelmed with its flour platters and everything else is just average. Maybe the portion of noodles is small enough so that one doesn't get overwhelmed by its starchy gravy. In any case, each to their own. The stall gets long queues at their opening hours. To avoid the long queues, go slightly after lunch hour (say about 1.30pm).

Robo - Fat Hamster

Image
My Robo is getting fatter. Fluffy like a wool ball. Caught him with his belly up. His favourite sleeping corner - beneath the wheel. But like I said, he's a very shy hamster... discovered I had been secretly taking his naked belly.. And quickly scurried away... A day of Fat Robo...

mini update : Tiles

Image
Was back at new place on Tuesday to check on the progress. Workers had almost completed the kitchen wall tiles. I wasn't too happy with the gap between the tiles. Just felt that it seems too big for comfort. Project manager assured that about 70% of the gaps were less than the thickness of a 10 cent coin and with the grouting applied to fill in the gap, the gap would be insignificant. Sigh! Kinda feel helpless in this situation.

Plague

2 nightmares in a row. Last night, went to bed feeling very unwell. While in state of half dreaming and half clenching my stomach in pain, I suddenly found myself giving birth! Of course you could guess, it was chaotic! And excruciating painful. The scene was like in "Orphan" the psycho horror flick. Terrible! I jolted up in pain and shivering in cold. I think I need to get away from life stressful issues.

Drop

Dropped my wedding band. Sigh! Just don't feel right after that.

Seeking the Comfort Zone

I didn't expect the search for a sofa can be so tedious. Having limited space in the living area means the furnitures have to be in relatively small in size. In another word, miniature is the best for now. Walked from the far north west to west regions, we saw 2 sofa sets we quite like. Okay, the one from Barang Barang is my favourite. I was so comfortable with it that I sat on the sofa for a very long time before I was convinced that it was just too big for our miniature house. Reefton L Sofa from Barang Barang Covered in fabric made with Teflon Coated Micro Suede, it is simply too comfy to get up from the sofa. Comes with 3 seat cushions, 3 back cushions and 2 side cushions, with removable covers. Orientation of the chaise seat cushion to your liking. We actually quite like the other version of Kellogg sofa minus the L shape chaise. Picket & Rail is having a promotion for that version. At $999, you get 3 + 2 Kellogg sofa. But our concern is more of the placement of the 2 seat...
